How should stinging nettle be used in a child, ages between 3-4 years, and what exact quantity should be be used or measured? Thank you.

Dear Solange,

For a child that age, I typically prepare a tea. I put 1 teaspoon of dried stinging nettle leaf into a mug. Add 4 ounces of almost boiling water. Let sit for 20 minutes. Strain out tea leaves. Sweeten with a little honey if desired. Then I would have the child drink half in the morning, and half in the late afternoon. Depending on what you are treating, you may find less or more of the tea is needed. But that is a starting place.
