My husband has two broken ribs, one week ago he broke them, falling off a ladder. Today I began the comfrey poultic. How long of a period of time do I leave it on him. Could he wear the poultice through the night while he sleeps? Thanks for the info, it is really appreciated.

Yes, leaving the comfrey poultice thoughout the night works best. Ideally you'd want to make a fresh one every 4 hours as it loses its potency. I left it on through the night for my arm and it worked wonders.
