Seeking Help for Yeast Infection Rash on Mouth

Posted By Susieq (Wake Forest, North Carolina, Usa) on 07/22/2015

I have had a rash on my mouth for the past 7 weeks. I have had allergy tests and swabs. Seems it is a yeast infection. URGENTLY need help. Traveling to Asia in a month and not sure I'll get thru Immigration. Currently using Nystatin Ointment but not seeing improvement. It tastes awful.

A friend suggested I ask here. Hoping for a swift response. Thanks in advance.

Hello Susieq;

Re rash on mouth...

Since it is not responding to Nystatin, maybe it is not a yeast infection.

For topical infections like spider bites or viral or bacterial infections I've found Echinacea to be a good solution. I like Vitamin Shoppe's brand...it is very think and potent. Others work but they are often tinctures. I put three or four drops onto the affected area and lightly rub in. Let dry. Do not rub off. Repeat three or four times allowing to dry. Leave it for a few hours. Then I wash off. A few hours later I repeat. I also will drink water with three drops three times a day.

Hello, I wonder if swishing with Milk of Magnesia would help, it does wonders for thrush.
