Would White Clay Be Safe for Teeth with Fillings?

Posted By Mark (Newcastle, Uk) on 08/10/2015

Hi there. I just wanted to ask if you know if Kaolin/White clay is safe to use as an ingredient in homemade toothpaste recipe, if the person has dental fillings? (mercury or amalgam) I have read that Bentonite clay is unsuitable, as it draws mercury out of the filling and I just wondered if Kaolin clay had the same safety concerns?

Thank you for any advice/thoughts on the matter,

regards,

Mark

Mark, I've used both and neither pulls anything out of anywhere as far as I can see, except for dirt! I find kaolin "softer" and better for the teeth. Green clay is better for pulling out infections.
