Worried over thinning teeth

Posted By Binejuly (Miami, Fl) on 09/08/2012

I'm 59 and my teeth are straight and lovely to look at, however, the dentist freaked me out when he suggested I crown my 2 top front teeth because they're "paper thin. " I've been so upset ever since. Been using baking soda/sea salt combo for years. Eat a super healthy diet with lots of supplements and they're still becoming transluscent-looking. I recently bought Armstrong's olive oil soap, glycerin and junk-free because of all the comments on this board and I'm worried about this now. It's been irritating the inside of my lips and I'm so upset to be seeing a gray/black dirt on my teeth as well as yellowing. It just is not cleaning properly. I can't believe this!!! It's like my experience is the antithesis of everything on this website!! Can anyone give me some help or suggestions? What can I do to thicken or make my teeth more opaque. What about some really healthy versions of whitening systems?

Should I swish with the walnut tincture hoping it won't darken the teeth? I am desperate to retain my teeth and gums. Speaking of which, I have the "black triangles" and grafts are super-expensive and barely work. Anything to encourage an upward growth of the gums naturally? HELP!!!!

Hi Binejuly, So sorry to hear about your tooth concern. They can be such a bummer! A couple of months ago there was quite a bit of dialogue on EC regarding mouth health and tooth enamel, etc. I see that you obviously read some of the posts on not using commercial toothpaste but changing to soap. In addition, I will add some things I have found very helpful. I had posted video on tooth care from Nadine Artemis who is an authority on alternative healthcare and re- growing tooth enamel. I have seen her speak a few times and she is a fount of knowledge. I will give you the links to that information.

This link will give you an audio interview of Nadine as well. You will see it as Tooth Truth.

Also, are you familiar with Weston Price's work? I have learned so much from his work regarding diet and tooth health (overall health). Here is the wikipedia link on him.

And finally, have you read about xylitol and its benefits for teeth? I myself have never used it but have read and heard info on this. Here's a link with information on xylitol for dental health:

Anyway, I hope this information helps. Lisa

Hi Binejuly, I am going to include some video of Nadine actually speaking at the Longevity Now Conference which I have attended for the last couple of years now. This is where I have seen her speak and have had the chance to see all of her products and purchase them there.

Also, did you ever read any of the Weston Price work? Or see the other audio someone put up which is really fantastic based in Weston Price's work:

I have actually saved this last link as I want to listen to it again, it had so much info!

Hope this helps,
Lisa

it sounds like you have enamel damage. Earier back in the posts some one is using mi paste. It looks great, I have exstensive enamel damage however I had no idea. luck ive caught it when I have, as with mi paste and a good dentist I should be able to avoid restoration.

this site also has a great list of suggested remineralising formula: http://www.healingteethnaturally.com/products-remineralizing-strengthening-teeth-reducing-caries.html

there is lots on this trhead about ramel and his book, it looks good, and I am thinking of reordering it.
