Will delayed treatment for gum pockets cause tooth loss

Posted By Adynna (Toronto, Canada) on 04/22/2015

I have a 9mm gum pocket and a 6 mm gum pocket. I was told by a periodontist to have these areas scaled/planed. But the earliest appointment is 2 months away. Am I jeopardizing a chance to save the teeth with this delay?

I would start oil pulling in the meantime. Look it up here.

Hold 3 percent hydrogen peroxide in your mouth 2 to 3 times a day. You should get some healing by then too. This works pretty good. No, waiting will not hurt you.
