. Hi, I've suffered from KP my whole life. I'm now 33yrs. Old and I'm tried of hiding my body. My KP has gotten worse the older I get. It has now almost consumed my whole body. What do I do? It has effected my marriage because I'm so afraid of what he may think. I have tried so many " sure fire ways" but nothing works. PLEASE HELP!!! Amanda, WV

I don't know what you eat now, but try cleaning up your diet. Give up the processed food and sodas and eat real food - fresh meat (grass fed if you can get it), fresh fish (not farmed), fresh veggies and fruit (organic if you can afford it), pastured eggs (fresh from a farm if you have access), real cheese (check the ingredient list. It shouldn't contain 10-20 things). Drink water or tea, not supermarket juice and certainly not sodas. Stay away from industrialised margarine and vegetable oils, like corn oil, soy, canola and substitute with olive oil, butter, lard, coconut oil.

I don't know what about these changes makes the DP go away, but many people who eat this way find their KP of many years disappears. I've read it again and again.

At any rate, it's a no brainer that a diet without chemicals is better than one with a daily cocktail of 50 of them.

Good luck!

I agree with what Mel stated. If you have insurance, I would highly recommend you getting a blood test that determines what food allergies you may have. Also, I have read that KP is a Vitamin A deficency and a deficency in essential fatty acids.

Good luck and keep us posted!
