What will numb an overgrown toenail for clipping

Posted By Tim (Wiltshire, UK) on 01/07/2015

Hi there, I am calling to ask if there is anything that is available that might help with numbing an overgrown toenail so that it can be clipped without a lot of pain ?

I appreciate that you may not be allowed or able to state that a particular product or method will definitely do this.

Any suggestions are welcome.

thanks, Tim

You could try using ice to numb it first.

You might try stuffing a tiny tiny bit of cotton that is soaked in castor oil and half baking soda under the nail on the side that is ingrown (I gently use a toothpick to move it under the nail). By the next day you may feel relief.
