What have I tried to prevent this? Well, I was on antibiotics, I tried turmeric, tea tree oil, antibacterial soaps and a doctor recently took some swabs and sent them away but nothing came back.
So my question is, why do I keep getting them! ? I thought it was my diet- like lack of nutrition? So I started eating vegetables and taking vitamins. But I still get them, worse than ever! Every time they come, they come back worse. I have a job as a waitress in a very busy restaurant and I can't afford to be in so much pain! I actually limp because my thigh hurts so much because of the carbuncles!

Try a little zinc, maybe? Don't go overboard. Look it up. If you take too much you can get a copper/zinc imbalance.Replied by Butterflysb (London, England) on 03/07/2012
Have you been tested fro MRSA or VRSA?, I started to suffer from boils, and luckily for me, my doctor was quick to send a sample to the labs, and it came back positive for MRSA. Normal antibioics are not strong enought to treat MRSA.Replied by Racmil (Portland, Oregon) on 08/02/2012
For me turmeric works to quickly get rid of boils, taken both internally & applied externally to the boil/carbuncle. However, I found my problem to be an iodine deficiency. Since I started taking a high potency iodine tablet the boils/carbuncles have been gone. I had previously suffered with them for three years. As soon as one healed another one started continuously & they got quite bad where I would have to regularly take strong antibiotics. I was tested for mrsa & it was negative... just standard staph.Replied by Terri (Port Charlotte, Florida) on 09/11/2012
Mix Lavender oil, tea tree oil and euculyptus oil together in a clean dish. Place a sterale gauze into the oil mixture to soak up the oil. Steralize a needle and open the center of the boil a bit. Now place the oil soaked gauze over the boil using a band-ade. Change the gauze as needed until the boil oozes out all the puss and heals up. Repeating. This will kill the infection that is causing the boils.Replied by Ann From Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Usa) on 09/21/2012
Hello Terri, Never ever use anything to open a boil. My daughter did the same remedy recommended to you and one week later that boil had MRSA in it and she spent 7 days in the the hospital after having surgery to remove the damaged tissue the MRSA caused. MRSA is a very serious bacteria that can be life threating. Please never open a boil or cyst that contains pus. All pus is not created equal.
