What Can I Do for a Small Patch of Itchy Skin?

Posted By Meeya (Central Valley, Ca) on 11/16/2015

I've had a small, itchy, red patch of skin on my chest near my shoulder for months. It is always itchy... but stays the same size. Any suggestions for what I can put on it to make it go away? Thanks :)

Dear Meeya,

It sounds like it could be ringworm or eczema.

My first try would be extra virgin coconut oil and tea tree essential oil, twice a day. (5 drops tea tree to 1 teaspoon coconut oil.) It has helped with both issues before.

Some iodine or raw apple cider vinegar (mixed 1/2 with water) would be something else to try.

If none of that works, I would try Borage Oil or turmeric internally.

Those are some of my "go to's" for that type of issue.

Meeya, I would try rubbing oregano oil into it or an anti-fungal cream
