What can help itchy skin and chills after taking prednisone

In December, I had a strep throat, doctor gave me antibiotic, Omnicef. After taking 3 doses, I had severe diarrhea. I stopped taking. I got sinus infection, three weeks later. Just did nasal rinses. A month later had bad shoulder pain, was given 5 days of prednisone. One month later, developed itching and chills throughout my body. I was given claritin. Itching and chills still there, blood tests taken, diagnosis, low thyroid, Dr. put me on Armour thyroid. Itching seemed worse, doctor said take benedryl half an hour before, sick of living on benedryl, Itook myself off after 4 days. Itching, chills, feeling like my skin is crawling with something,

After going to health food store telling them my symptons, they recommendef aI candida cleanse (4) pills a day, 2 morning, 2 evening, probiotics, thyrooid energy, lotus souloution iodine, celadine, curcumin.

Itching more intense at night, chills mostly in morning, skin breaking out on arms, legs, chest, little white bumps on neck, and under one breast. Stopped Candida cleanse supplements after almost 2 weeks. I tried one day of colloidal silver, more rash came out, so, so tired that day..wanted to give my body a rest

Now taking taking liquid chlorophyll, 1/2 teaspoon, multi greens supplement 2 three times a day, thyroid energy, iodine 6 drops once a day, still itching, chills, and have rash. Trying to eat only green salads, no sugar. Been a junk food eater all my life. I am 63 year old female. I do have more energy, not feeling depressed anymore, however skin is very tender from scratching at times. I use organic coconut oil to rub on my skin. After experiences with doctors, antibiotics, steroids, and hospitals, I dont trust them. Please help, I am so confused about the right thing to do. Thank you.

Gypsy, after having a life of improper food consumption and having difficulty with the medications that have been given to you by healthcare practitioners for various ailments, I would suggest you assess your plan of action and start with the basics for total wellness to give you a baseline to solve your health issue.

Often times, taking various supplements and/or medications can aggravate a condition or it can help but if there is not a commitment to overall wellness - the supplements are just band-aids to a bigger problem. I offer the following advice - it is what I do every single day.

1. Remove poor food choices out of your diet, including sugar....understand that nutrition is so terribly important.

2. Add a high omega-3 fatty acid oil to your diet. I would suggest the Budwig Protocol (see budwig-videos.com to see how the basic meal is made. It's delicious.) No special equipment, just a stick blender and your foods. Study the science of why cottage cheese and flaxseed oil, blended together works to reduce inflammation in the body. This way of eating (just the basic meal) in the morning is wonderful. My itchy psoriasis was history many years ago because of this protocol I eat every morning.

3. Take 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day. If you have joint issues or are older, I suggest Miranda Edmonds and Classical Stretch. You can find her on youtube.

4. High quality Water - 8 glasses + a day.

5. Make a greens smoothie daily (unless you are on Coumadin or blood thinners). I use kale and spinach interchangeable. There are great recipes on the net. I put a greens powder, unsweetened coconut milk, chia seeds and some fruit in mine..there are many recipes however.

Does this way of life take time in the beginning? Of course it does but, our bodies are worth the effort - aren't there? You can do it!!!! :D

I wish you the best,

MyWay :D
