Was shot in head lost smell and taste

Posted By Nolan (Saginaw, Michigan) on 10/11/2012

I had a situation with an police officer and was shot in the head with a taser which has resulted in my loss of smell and taste. This has been going for about a year and its depressing not being able to enjoy meals, loss of apetite, not being able to enjoy life like I was before my accident. I just want my life back and was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding this topic.

I was reading an article the other day about Lions Mane Mushroom capsuels, and the effect that it has on the brain. Check it out, and see if there is anything that might be able to help you. It is stated that the mushroon stimulate nerve regeneration in the brain. Here is one of many links concerning Lion's Mane:

Yes where can I buy the lyons main, I was shot with a bb gun on the left side of my nose when I was 10 years old. Back in those days if you said you could not smell people thought you were crazy when I was in my 20s 30s and 40s I could smell only fresh coffee grounds , cantilope, lettice, and fresh ground chocolate, as I have gotten older I cant smell any thing, I am now 70 years. ( I feel like I am 40 )

Nolan: This is only a suggestion, but try checking with a lawyer to see if the state or country you came from can compensate you for the injuries inflicted upon you because of the taser gun. Not for the sake of money but to be able to afford expenses to see specialists for your problem caused by the taser gun. Also it's good to make the state aware that using a taser gun is dangerous no matter what the incident is. Taser guns are dangerous and can and do cause permanent and life time injuries. Good luck.
