Very painful swelling on tendon

My question is for Ted,but would be gratefull to know if anyone else has found a natural remedy for heel spurs. I developed very painful swelling on the tendon on both sides of the ankle. When I pressed on the sore area it felt almost as if it where a fluid filled growth on the tendon of the right ankle. The Doctor sent me for X-Ray and it showed a heel spur, he then told me to take some OTC pain medication, that was all I could do about it.The pain is very bad the first hour ,after I get up in the morning, and the swelling is becoming worse, and has now developed on the tendon on my left ankle. I am still a few years away from retirement, and don't want to limp my way through life with this pain. My urine PH was an acidic 5.5 I do eat a healthy diet and drink lots of water. Ted if you could give me any suggestions as to what might help me I would be very thankful. Bless you for all the helpful information you provide, and a huge thankyou to EARTH CLINIC, what a fabulous site and thanks to all for their in put. Ali

one web site stated that heel spurs are a form of arthritis so your heel spurs may respond to tart cherry juice which helps with inflammation. if you can't find fresh tart cherries you might find canned tart cherries in the pie filling section of your grocery store, or cherry concentrate at some health food stores, amazon.com has canned tart cherries or google to see which cherry orchards sell tart dried cherries, juice and/or capsules. wishing you a quick recovery from pain!
