Re Shingles in ear.
I've used colloidal silver to cure shingles. If me I'd use an ear syringe with cs...squirt into ear three times daily.
I'd judge if this was helping after a day or two and if an improvement would continue if improved.

Dear Deb,
We have found the internal use of extra virgin coconut oil to work very well for serious viral illnesses. I give my adult sized children 1 tablespoon three times a day when using it medicinally.
When my children had chicken pox, we found baking soda baths to help reduce pain and itching, even in spots that never went under the water. 1 cup per warm bath.
Sugar and dairy products made symptoms worse for chicken pox in my children.
You could also try colloidal silver - I have used a couple of tablespoons several times a day for myself for serious infections with great success.
