Urgent helped requested for ovarian cysts

HELP ME, IT'S URGENT!!

I have been suffering from dermoid ovarian cyst in my right ovary measuring approx. 6. 2 cm (my left ovary has already been removed doing oopherectomy in June 2012 due to a large dermoid cyst measuring more than 10 cm). After the removal of my left ovary I started suffering from fibroids in my right breast for which I started taking homoeopathic treatment. But, to my horror, my routine sonography revealed (just after six months of treatment) that I had developed three dermoid cysts in my right ovary. After visiting your site, I came to know about the benefits of Blackstrap Molasses and Apple Cyder Vinegar. I'm taking ACV with honey and then immediately I'm taking BSM with milk. IS IT RIGHT?

Earlier I was taking it twice a day but now I'm taking it only in the morning on empty stomach due to suffering from stomach pain and loose motions. I'm also using castor oil packs regularly but since last two weeks my skin has developed burns in the area where I apply the packs. The burns are dark brown in colour and feel itchy. Though they occupy some part of the total area but I'm in doubts. I really don't want to leave applying the packs. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Mehnaaz from India, it sounds like you need to check into Iodine. You can google iodine and cysts or iodine and fibroids. There is lots of information out there. Lynn Farrow, Dr. Brownstein are just a couple that have information. Hope this will help you.

Dear Mehnaaz,

It should be fine to take the vinegar and water and blackstrap and milk the way you are doing it.

Are you using a heating pad with the castor oil packs? If so, you might need to lower the heat or use a hot water bottle or even just use the castor oil plain. You can rub it into the skin instead of using a pack even. You also should take days off. Always take off the days of your period. And perhaps take off on weekends. While your skin heals here, you could take a week off and then resume.

Please keep us posted!

Dear Mehnaaz,

I have not been able to find a known natural treatment for a dermoid cyst. I think what you are trying is worth a try. No one can say for sure that there is no cure (natural or otherwise.) We can only say there is no known cure. What you are trying is reasonable because it has worked on other cysts and on many other health conditions.

Many times I have experimented on my self with natural remedies and keep trying until I find one that works. (As do many others that post here at Earth Clinic.) I, and many others, have found solutions that work when doctors say there is no cure.

At the same time, you are working with something that may be hindering your fertility. If the cysts grow too much and begin to cause you complications, their removal at that time could mean the loss of your remaining ovary. I have read about people who have had dermoid cysts removed (and ovary left intact) that have gone on to have healthy pregnancies. Untreated dermoid cysts can cause complications in time, as you know, including ovarian torsion. That would be a medical emergency and would also mean you would likely loose the ovary.

I do not know what your medical options are. Ideally you would be able to find a doctor or midwife that would be willing to work with you and respect what you are desiring to try. If you could have the cyst monitored for a few weeks or so and see if there is any change following what you are doing, that would be helpful. If there is no change, it might be wise to have the surgery sooner than later, to increase the chance of keeping your ovary, assuming you can find a doctor who is willing to remove the cyst and try to retain the ovary.

I understand your desire to avoid surgery again. I have had many surgeries over the years, including several for female issues. One time I had to sign permission for the doctor to do a complete hysterectomy because of massive internal bleeding from complications of tubal pregnancy rupture. By the mercy of God, the doctor ended up not doing the hysterectomy during the surgery and I did go on to have more children.

I will be praying for you! That you will have wisdom on treatment and that you will be able to heal and have children.

God bless you! Keep us posted.

Dear Mehnaaz,

You might want to research the name of the drug you are considering taking and see what the possible side effects are. My understanding is that cancer is a side effect of some fertility drugs.

Yes, I would be concerned that fertility drugs would affect the cyst. Have you expressed this concern to the doctor? I guess I am assuming you would need a prescription for this, since that is how it would work for me in the USA, but perhaps that is not how it is for you.

Unfortunately, dermoid cysts are not very common and there is not a lot of information about them.

Keep us posted on how things are going!

Please accept my heartfelt greetings dear Mama, Due to some technical issues, I couldn't connect to you since last three weeks!!!

Mama...

My ultrasound, just after menses, on 10th June 14 showed that my Ovarian Dermoid Cyst of 6.2 cm has now become 4.3 cm. It's a very good news for me BUT...

I've been introduced to a new horrible name HYDROSALPINX!

The actual words of the report read: 'A 4.3 cm ovarian dermoid cyst with bilateral hydrosalpinx of 4 cm, 4 cm each side.'

I'm totally surprised because all the remedies which are applicable for dermoid cysts that I came to know from you and have been taking since LAST THREE MONTHS are equally applicable for hydrosalpinx treatment!

Then WHY and HOW it could occur to me inspite of all that regular treatment?

When asked, my gyneacologist told me that this hydrosalpinx has no relation to my dermoid cyst and that it happens due to infection and causes INFERTILITY if left untreated!

I donot doubt the allopathic expertise but time and again ALTERNATIVE MEDICINES have saved a lot of people from going under the knife. I believe in herbal treatment and cannot even think of being operated a THIRD TIME.

As I have told you in our earlier conversations, my left ovary has already been removed due to a very large dermoid cyst.

I HAVE THESE QUERIES FOR YOU:

Is my dermoid ruptured? And what was shown as hydrosalpinx is nothing but the drained fluid from my cyst?

I'm taking tablets prescribed by my doctor since last three months to regularize my menses and now he has suggested that regular cycle is a MUST which will not thicken the fluid.

Is there any natural way of normalizing my menses inspite of tabs?

Please suggest what should I continue and stop taking from the following-

Since last three months, I'm taking ACV, BSM, Aloe Vera, Honey, Lime Juice, Beat Roots, Lots of Veggies and fruits, Plenty of water, and Castor Oil Packs regularly. I'm eating fish twice a week.

I'm strictly refraining from white flour, white sugar, all sweets, red meat, oily, fried, processed foods, milk and milk related products, and curd.

Since 15 days, I've added to my list Ginger Garlic Juice (1,1 tbspn), Vitamin C, Baking Soda, and Turmeric.

From this week, whenever I'm using Castor Oil Packs, I'm experiencing severe pain in my right pelvis, right back, and right leg. WHY?

My husband and I do not have intercourse since last three months for the fear of my dermoid getting twisted.

Dear Mehnaaz,

It is good to hear from you! It does seem very encouraging that the cyst is reported to be reduced in size. And I agree that the fluid in the tube is a distressing surprise and diagnosis.

The protocol you have come up with for yourself sounds wonderful! The turmeric is anti-inflammatory and the the vitamin C and garlic excellent for infection, if that is causing the fluid in the tube.

Does the doctor think the fluid in the tube is caused by infection? If so, I would be sure to take a lot of vitamin C. If you begin to get loose bowels you can cut back some. But even 5-10 grams a day would not be too much. You body may tolerate even more than that if it is fighting infection.

The pills you are taking to regular your cycles, is this hormonal birth control pills? Can these have an effect on the cyst?

Many of the remedies you are using are ones that help regulate the cycles, though you may not be able to tell if they are helping while you are taking something else from the doctor.

I am very concerned about the pain you are having when you use castor oil packs. It is a mystery; I have never heard of castor oil packs causing pain like this. I do know that when I had a twisted cyst on my fallopian tube I had severe pain and pain radiating down my leg. I would stop the castor oil packs for now. If the pain continues I would seek medical help as soon as possible. Ovarian torsion can also cause this kind of pain. Untreated ovarian torsion can cause infertility.

I have not answered all of your questions yet. I will write again. But for now, I want to make sure that this severe pain is not continuing. Please do get it checked out if it continues and let me know one way or the other how that goes. Hopefully you will find a caregiver who is willing to work with you in your desire to preserve your fertility and organs no matter what type of treatment is needed.

Hi Mama,

How are you? Actually, I often think about you, someday want to meet you and want to ask you so much about you, if you don't mind. Because I rarely find someone so caring.

Due to my health issues, I have started avoiding so-called 'caretakers' who probe my soul with their merciless questions. My friend circle has reduced to a small group of people with my husband occupying the centre place. I have been keeping so for the last 8 years and nowadays I like very much talking with you, Can I continue it?

I know, this foolish talk will put a long smile on your face but please see it as I'm talking to my own MOM.

I've read your reply. Regarding castor oil packs, I want to say that I use it at bed time and in this week I've felt pains (while using it) which have gone by themselves slowly within 2-3 hrs otherwise castor oil pack has been my 'best friend' since last 3 months.

Today is my first day of menses exactly on time with usual pain and bleeding so I couldn't go to the doctor, as suggested by you, SORRY.

I've read earlier to take things like hot tea, coffee, fish or BSM during periods which dissolve and throw out cyst and hydrosalpinx, do they?

Please suggest me proper diet for these important six days of menses.

Please tell me what will be the best time to take baking soda, empty stomach or after meals?

I don't want to stop typing but my phone is not supporting much better and students are waiting for me in classroom.

I'll send another post soon.

Waiting for your reply.

May Lord bless you and your family a healthy and happy life forever.

Dear Mehnaaz,

Great to hear from you. You are very encouraging!

You asked about diet during menses--the diet you outlined in your previous post, along with the supplements you are taking all sound excellent for all month long. You are obviously very motivated and have done your research about foods that are healing. Supplements also.

Also, you asked about taking baking soda with meals or away from meals. Perhaps someone will correct me if I am mistaken, but I think if you were taking it for stomach issues, you might take it after meals but for trying to heal something on an empty stomach.

Another option for you would be to try activated charcoal poultices instead of the castor oil packs. I have never known of the them to cause pain. They do reduce inflammation. They also draw out infection. If the fluid in your tubes is cause by either or both of these, it may be helpful. You could do them over night a few nights a week. There are directions for making them on the activated charcoal page.

You are motivated and diligent in your natural treatment. It seems to me that if anyone can cure these problems naturally, it will be you.

Looking forward to you updates...and may the Lord bless you too, and give you the desires of your heart.

Dear Mama,

As you know, I have ovarian dermoid cyst and hydrosalpinx and on your kind suggestion, I am using activated charcoal poultice. (after many many findings, I got it now) But due to my ill-health, nausea and fatigueness, I am orally taking only apple cider vinegar and baking soda daily empty stomach but I avoid all prohibited food strictly. Now my questions to you are :

Will you please tell me that can I apply castor oil packs in day time with charcoal in night? Can I use charcoal poultice daily?

Should I also take the herb false unicorn orally (while I am also taking acv+ soda only thing as oral remedy)?

I have read so much impressive about this herb on net for reproductive system, dermoid cyst and fertility, does it work really?

Waiting for your kind words. Thank you very much.

Dear Mehnaaz,

It is so good to hear from you and I am sorry you are not feeling well.

I think using castor oil by day and charcoal poultices at night sounds like a good idea. You will get the benefits of each. Yes, you should be able to use the charcoal poultices every day.

Regarding False Unicorn, yes, it does seem to help many women with their cycles and fertility. You could certainly give it a try and see how you respond. It seems most helpful to ladies with short cycles from a short luteal phase. Correcting that will enable women to conceive more easily.

It sounds like you are doing a lot of research and are diligent in following your plan. Please continue to keep me posted and I hope you are feeling very well soon!

Dear Mama,

I'm Mehnaz's husband Kaif. My wife is in regular contact with you through EC. You both have exchanged a lot of posts up to now. My wife started using activated charcoal since 3rd of this month in the form of poultices which she keeps all night long and even more. On 6th, we had sex after a long gap of around one year (we had refrained from having intercourse due to her dermoid issue). No problem was felt during insertion and it was quite a normal act. She felt no abdominal pain afterwards. She continued with the charcoal therapy and then suddenly after 2 days of intercourse she started bleeding. It was just like her menses BUT it was untimely. Her regular menses had been finished 14 days earlier (she has regular menses from about 6 months and never did they come untimely). The bleeding continued for 2 days and then we went for her ultrasound. The report states the following observations-

"Findings suggestive of Right Ovarian Lesion of approximate size 51X46 mm suggestive of Right Ovarian Dermoid. Right adenexal lesion with cyst of approximate size 34X18 mm suggestive of right sided Hydrosalpinx with TO mass. "

In an earlier ultrasound dated 10th June, we had come to know about her hydrosalpinx but it was shown bilateral. Now it is only on the right side. My queries to you are

1. What is TO mass as mentioned in the ultrasound report?
2. Might the bleeding be due to our having sex or using charcoal poultices (which might have drawn out the infection as bleeding)?
3. Is there a likelihood of the dermoid cyst getting ruptured?
4. She has developed minute ant bite like roughness on the areas where the charcoal poultices have been applied and they itch. Is it a sign of infection being absorbed out or what?
5. Please suggest me some SPECIAL REMEDY specially chalked out for DERMOID CYSTS. We really don't want to undergo third surgery.

Dear Kaif,

Hello!

1. I do not know what TO Mass is. I tried to look it up but did not find anything.

2. "Breakthrough bleeding, " bleeding occurring in the middle of a cycle like this can have so many causes. It could be from sex. I don't think the charcoal would cause toxins to be released via blood.

3. My understanding is that dermoid cyst rupture is possible but rare because the outer tissue of the cyst is thick. But rupture would be very serious. It seems that if there was a rupture, it would have shown up on the ultrasound.

4. My experience is that a rash like you are speaking of with the poultice is caused by a reaction to the material or chemical in paper towels or clothes used to make the poultice. Or, if she is covering the poultice with plastic, it could be lack of air flow from leaving the poultice on for a very long time. I would discontinue use of the poultice at least until the skin heals and then re-evaluate whether or not to continue.

5. I wish I had the answer for a dermoid cyst. Mehnaaz has been so faithful in her research and following through with natural treatments. One thing I notice is that she had hydrosalpinx on both sides with her last ultrasound but now only has it on the right. I find that to be very encouraging. It sounds as if the left side has healed. And the suspected hydrosalpinx on the right side is measuring smaller than the last ultrasound, appearing to be healing. This data would suggest that what she has been doing has been helping the hydrosalpinx.

What is the doctor recommending at this point? Does he/she think that pregnancy is possible even with the cyst? I know I have read about ladies with dermoid cysts being pregnant. But the hydrosalpinx can prevent pregnancy. And that is improving. Do they have midwives where you live? I am not a medical professional and am only able to help with my own experiences and research. I so wish you had someone to see in person that would be very wise and helpful. I know that midwives where I am are more open to working with me when I prefer to use natural methods of healing.

Dear Mehnaaz,

Hello! Regarding those vitamins...I think you already are doing lots of great things and eating well. It really may not be needed to add those vitamins. I don't think they would be harmful and anything you are doing to help you body function well is going to help you body fight sickness.

Just my two cents there.

Have a great day!
