Ulcer and Stomach Pain Making Me Feel Very Sick

Ulcer and Type II Diabetes

I just found out I have an ulcer last week. I have had stomach problems for months and months. I had an upper scope. I am scheduled a colonoscopy Dec 12. I get stomach diarrhea after I eat certain foods. My stomach hurts also. Sometimes I throw up. I can't schedule anything on church trips because I don't know when it is going to act up. Like bus trips. My Dr. took me off some meds but what is going to make me well? I have been very weak since Saturday when my stomach acted up. Today Wednesday my stomach started again. I want to get well. Does anyone have suggestions? Thank you.

I'd start with bone broth--nourishing, easy on the system, warm and soothing. You can take only bone broth for quite some time, as much as you want. Let your gut heal and repair for at least several days, better would be a week. Then, slowly, add an easy to digest vegetable (carrot, squash) to your broth. As you tolerate this, going slowly, add cooked chicken or other meat. You want foods that are easily digested, so avoid anything you know bothers you. If, at any time, you start having tummy troubles, back up a bit and let your system rest and heal. I've been doing this for my ibs-d for some months now and the gut feels better than ever.
