Turmeric BCM-95 for Diverticulitis and Inflammation

Posted By Randy (Bakersfield, Ca) on 07/14/2016

I have had diverticulitis for five years. In hospital for four days and given bunch of antibiotics. Luckily I haven't been back but I struggle with constipation doctor told me I needed to have a bowel movement at least every two days. I tried Metamucil it didn't work so Dr. put me on Linzess it seems to work but I would like a more natural remedy, so if anybody knows one let me know. Anyway, have been taking meloxicam for joint health problems my chiropractor told me to try turmeric bcm-95 but I was afraid to take it thinking it might hurt my diverticulitis but what I'm reading telling me that it's good to take for diverticulitis and it is also great for joint inflammation so I guess it's OK to start taking it. To anybody reads, just please let me know what you think. Thanks, Randy

Hi there, coffee works great for me. But your diet mainly can help a lot. Increase your water intake. you could try a homemade green juice. Search Youtube for recipes. More fruits as well works like a charm. Go slow on the rice, less bread, less sugar. Also warm prune juice is almost immediate in many cases. Let us know how it goes.

I am the chief science officer of the company that provides BCM-95 Curcumin in dietary supplements. I am not aware of any research that indicates that our products are contraindicated in cases of diverticulitis, but always encourage people to work with their healthcare practitioner for additional questions. Our two best known BCM-95 products are Curamin, a blend of 4 ingredients for pain related to overuse, and CuraMed, our all curcumin product used for a wide spectrum of health support. Here is a link to a page with more information. I am sending my best wishes for success on your health goals.
