J. R. Smith, Melatonin has shown itself to be helpful in alleviating tinnitus from multiple causes and might be worth considering:

If you are taking things like ibuprofen at high dosages on a regular basis, that can be a cause of tinnitus as can many prescribed drugs. If you are currently taking any prescription meds, try researching them for tinnitus as a potential side effect.
Melatonin can increase glutathione as can n acetyl cysteine (nac) and nac alone or in conjunction with acetyl l carnitine can also be helpful for tinnitus of varying causes:
