Thyroid meds dont helpPosted By Sonia (San Diego, Ca, Usa) on 10/10/2012
I've tried all sorts of herbs, supplements. Nothing has worked so far. I eat bentonite clay, take Juice of oreganol, took iodine supplement, took evening primrose oil, took kelp supplement, took coconut oil which was of help-it treated my allergies, drank dandelion tea, ate lot's of bananas which reduced my neck pain to almost nil, I'm on water and sea salt cure from a year now which has not helped either. Now, I also suspect, this is secondary or tertiary hypothyroidism. There is some problem which has not been treated. I'm not able to point it out. So, Kindly please please help me in pointing out the problem and if possible a good treatment.

As an adjunct to detox, do a parasite/pathogen cleanse. After this begin supplementing an herbal and/or homeopathic endocrine formula or "multiglandular". This should jumpstart and balance your entire endocrine system which, along w/ detox, might very well solve the Thyroid prob. If not, supplement Lugols Iodine, L-Tyrosine, Zinc Lozenges. The mineral Selenium is also recommended for healthy Thyroid. Try wearing an hematite necklace (which can clean and jumpstart the T).
Hope this helps and good luck.

For memory problems, nerve pain/numbness, hair loss, and thyroid support, B12 can really help. I suggest a sublingual B12, (methylcobalamin), 1000-5000 mcg. Daily. ( Some people may need more or less).
Add a low dose of B complex. The other B's support B12, especially folate.
A typical zinc/copper dosage is, 15mg zinc and 1mg copper. ( Talk with doctor, but I don't think any more than this is necessary.)
I agree that what you're doing to help, increasing potassium foods, adding kelp and coconut oil is good, so maybe these additional supplements can resolve the other symptoms.
