That sounds terrible. I have heard of others who have taken organic coconut oil for mono with very good to excellent results. I had mono back int the dark ages (the 1970's) and it is all just a blur to me now.... cruddy dis-ease. Good luck!Replied by Mother Earth (Ks, Us) on 02/05/2011
Large doses of vitamin c could be helpful. Just google vitamin c for mono and you should find lots of information for your healing purposes. Good luck and let us know how it goes.Replied by Chad (Iowa City, Iowa) on 05/03/2012
I have mono... This morning I had legit pain all over, exhaustion and my throat was swollen shut, so it was impossible to swallow... I also have strep as well... I looked on this website since there "are no cures" for mono... Seriously... Do your best to go get organic coconut oil. Not pills. The legit oil. And swallow two (i did one and a half) tablespoons in the morning, and two at night. It tastes horrible and has a nasty crisco texture.. BUT SERIOUSLY... Im super wide awake and the only symptom of mono I have is the swollen throat, which has reduced its original size by 50%... Seriously... Like... it works rediculously fast.Replied by T (Richmond, Va) on 05/13/2012
I totally agree. March 28th, I received lab results in the mail (no phone call) saying that I have mono. I had not felt sick until I got the letter (besides a little throat issue)... I know that's crazy. I found this site and always having a supply of organic coconut oil, I started on a regimen of probiotics and 2 tblsps of CO in the morning and at night and immediately, the throat ache that was there that day was gone right away. Besides some pains after eating greasy foods in my liver, I have felt pretty good. I stopped taking the oil for a while and now have flu like symtoms and throat pain. I took the CO right away and did oil pulling. The thoat pain subsided.
