Supplement Safety for Adrenal Gland - Question for Mama to Many

Posted By Lauren (Queens ) on 02/17/2022

Hi Mama to many…hope you are well ..my doctor recommended phosphatidylserine to lower my cortisol levels and help with sleep and she said that if this doesn't work, she might have to put me on hydrocortisone to help heal the adrenal.

The research I did is mixed so I'm wondering what are your thoughts on this supplement.

Awaiting your response. Thank you..

Dear Lauren,

Honestly I had never heard of this before! So I looked it up and read why people are using it and such. I am pretty fascinated - I might try it myself and see if it helps my memory.

Personally, I would rather try something like this than hydrocortisone and I am guessing you would, too. I am impressed that you have a doctor recommending a supplement before a drug.

If you try it, let me know what you think!

Thanks mama to many for your prompt response. I'm still on the fence but will let you know if I decide to try. I have a functional doctor so maybe that's why she looks into alternative rather than drugs first. Have a blessed evening??
