Suggestions needed for low pulse rate

My 26yr old daughter and I were talking tonight and she said she was down! because she has been exercising religiously and hasn't lost weight. She then said I think it's because I can't get my heart rate up during exercise. She takes a spinning class and runs on the treadmill 4-5X/wk. According to the machines in the gym she gets on with a heart rate of 70 and it never goes above 75. Even after 45 min of strenuous cardio. I've searched the site for low pulse rate and I don't see that as an ailment. I am concerned as I don't think that is right. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!

Low Pulse Rate: I took a laser cleanse of my right leg artery. The pulse in my ankle improved a little bit. However, when I take my blood pressure, it may register 127 0ver.77. At all times though, my pulse registers LO - measuring lower than 60 pulse beats per minute?

Any natural remedy?

Hi Roy,

How long have you had a low pulse rate? If you are very active, don't worry about a pulse rate of 60. I have seen a few men who were consistently running between 40 & 50 pulse rate, without any adverse symptoms of any kind. They were all very active and not concerned about it, and neither were we concerned about it, because it was their normal rate and they were feeling fine.

Ask her doctor if he can approve the magnesium orotate for her to be sure whether it will be compatible with all of her current medications. The doctor may also know where to buy it in the UK.

Please confirm you are talking about pulse rate not HR. "Pulse rate" refers to the rate at which your arteries expand due to blood pressure changes caused by your heartbeat, while "heart rate" refers to the actual number of times your heart beats per minute. In a healthy person, the pulse rate is very close to the heart rate, meaning they are practically the same thing, but technically distinct.
