Suffering with chronic mild gastritis

Posted By Galley_slave (Kuah, Malaysia) on 09/03/2012

Please help Ted! I have chronic mild Gastritis (inflammation of the inner stomach lining). There is no information on this website, and quite frankly the dietary info on the internet is very contradictory and mostly incorrect... In fact it's clearly a very grey area as there aren't even books published about the disease!! I have been suffering for more than a year now. It's a nightmare disease, totally lifechanging. I just want my stomach to heal.

My diet consists of: root veg, lean protein, bananas, pears, quinoa, w/w bread, pure peanut butter, olive oil, rooibos tea, water. I have lost 10kgs, but weight is now stable.

Any ideas about how to heal the stomach lining please?

Galley, I hope you get response from Ted as he knows what's best.

From personal experience, the first thing you need to address is infection of some type pathogen. For this supplement Iodine or Hydrogen Peroxide. This should help, if not then I will try and find my post for Gastritis here on E.C. for you to read.

Hi Timh.... So you've had gastritis? diagnosed via endoscopy? chronic or acute? I've tried searching for a related article, but I can't find it. How exactly should I take the hydrogen peroxide? So what does it do exactly?

Galley, yes I have had an endoscope and diagnosed w/ gastritis. The hydrogen peroxide kills pathogens that live in the digestive system. When you kill the pathogens the healing can then occur. Do the H2O2 drops in water for several days (look up H2O2 therapy here on E. C. under "Remedies").

Also make sure your body isn't acidic. Try taking some Sea Salt in water to buffer. Actually, do this first, for a few days then do the H2O2, then try any of these supplements: DGL, Allantoin, Comfrey, Glutamine, Aloe Vera.

Hope this helps.

I also have mild chronic gastritis as well. I see this is a very old post so not sure if Ted still posts here. I am negative for H Pylori. Any suggestions to rid myself of this?

I used Lily of the Desert Aloe stomach formula for my gastritis and began feeling relief immediately. I have had gastritis more than once, but this is the quickest relief I have had.

I had gastritis after I took doses of hydrogen peroxide and an antibiotic. I think both bother me, but peroxide is rough on the stomach. I would nebulize it; 7 sprays from a small nose spray bottle, mixed with 9% saline (like half and half). I nebulized 7-8 times a day when I had a sinus issue.
