Hi Aisha...The cause of your OCD and migraines may well be due to a number of reasons. OCD and other anxiety issues may be linked to improper regulation of the adrenal glands. Abram Hoffer, a well known psychiatrist and orthompecular researcher, was able to actually cure schizophrenia, depression, CFS, energy problems and other anxiety issues by simply recommending higher dose niacin or niacinamide for his patients. Niacin or niacinamide acts to safely regulate the adrenals, thus reducing anxiety, depressionm, dark thoughts etc.
Dr Hoffer also said that taking niacinamide or niacin in split doses of up to 3 grams a day would not hurt anyone. He has also recommended total per diem dosages of niacin or niacinamide up to between 6 grms and 10 grms per day for schizophrenics as a cure for this condition.
Therefore, it may well benefit you to take 500 mgs niacinamide(non-flush form) or niacin (flush form) at least twice a day. You can safely take up to 3 grms a day if you wish. You should also take this protocol together with B50 complex(once a day) and with Vitamin C(1000 mgs three times a day).
If you have had this condition for a long time, then there may also be fungal and bacterial involvement through a weakened immune system. To understand this aspect more completely you should do a Google search on "William Shaw candida". Dr Shaw has used anti-fungal and anti-bacterial protocols with very successful outcomes against many diseases such as OCD, Autism, Parkinson's, Altzheimer's disease, Crohn's Disease, ADD, hyperactivity, Cognitive Difficulty and various and many autoimmune diseases. Notably, allopathic medicine generally is completely clueless about how to cure all these diseases because they use the wrong approach. So if your OCD and migraines are related to fungal problems in the body, then you will need to use a strong anti-fungal protocol -- as shown here on EC.
