Dear Nomnqa,

I am sorry about the piles. I have been there also, after the birth of a baby.

Raw Unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar is very helpful. You can apply it directly to the piles a couple of times a day with a cotton ball or paper towel. It does sting but helps very fast.

Blackstrap Molasses has helped many with this. It also helps to keep you regular, which will help them to heal and prevent reoccurance. Do make sure you are not constipated as that will make the problem much worse and hard to heal.

A salve made with comfrey and/or chickweed is healing and soothing but may not be easy to find for sale.

I hope these remedies will help you to resolve the problem quickly.

I had the same problem years ago; I tried Vitamin B6 and it worked for me. Prunes will soften the stool to make it more comfortable to move the bowel. Lots of water, too.

I have since learned it may be a symptom of liver congestion and/or constipation - there are liver and bowel cleanses you can do to fix that.

The blood vessels need rutin, vitamin C, and silicon (horsetail herb) to remain strong.

Sitz baths in alternating hot and cold water are supposed to increase circulation to the area but I have not tried them.

Be well!
