Dear Mirjam,

I am so sorry about this infection and pain!

Shonda Parker, an herbalist, recommends the following for uterine infection.

Echinacea - 500 - 1,000 mg every two hours during the day.

Astragalus - 500 - 1,000 mg every two hours during the day.

Vitamin C - 1,000 mg every two hours.

The above would support the immune system which you say is weak. If you can get some milk kefir to drink daily that would help, too. Plenty of fruits and vegetables would be helpful.

I would also use 1 teaspoon of turmeric in some milk (or in milk kefir) three times a day.

1 clove fresh garlic 4 times a day would be wonderful as a natural anti-biotic.

Activated Charcoal has been used successfully to treat uterine infections. If you can get charcoal tablets, you can insert 4 tablets vaginally at bedtime. (Wear a pad as it will leak and possible stain because it is black.) You can also make a charcoal poultice and put it on your abdomen over the pained area. This will help draw out the infection and help with the pain. You can use these overnight. You can also use this for a couple of hours during the day to help with pain. Here is how to make a charcoal poultice (may need to scroll half way down the page.)

Please keep us posted. I hope you are better soon!
