Suffer from very painful attacks of trigeminal neuralgia

Posted By Lorne (Houston Tx) on 02/17/2015

I have suffered with Trigeminal Neuralgia for eight years now. My pain is concentrated in my temple. I rate the pain on a twelve on a scale of 1-10. It flairs up on average of once every 16 months and last about a month with attacks of five times a week gets progressively worse each times it comes. Last time the durations were 20 minutes each. Of course I am frozen in pain during each espisode and extremely depressed knowing there will be more. Hospilization does no good as does pain killers. Carmazaepine is how I manage in between attacks, but to the point of toxic overdose. I can tell an attack is imminent, maybe hours away and I am terrified. Surgery? Sonic machine? Holistic? Can anyone advise?

Many people with trigeminal neuralgia have reported pain relief from a skin cream that contains gallium maltolate.
