Still struggling with multiple hormone and autoimmune issues

Multiple Hormone and Autoimmune Issues:

Hi everyone, Sophie again! I'm still struggling to figure out what's going on with my body. I am 30 years old and I've been diagonsed with PCOS. I have all the classic symptoms but my lab results come back "normal". Even so, they diagnosed the PCOS. I am now seeing an endocrinologist, but I don't have much hope. I suspect I have low functioning (hypo) thyroid. My TSH has been hovering around 3.5, which I think is too high but the Dr. says is in the "normal" range. I also have asthma, allergies (seasonal and dust/dust mite/mold), skin issues, acne, masculine-type body hair growth and hair loss on my head, irregular menstrual cycle, heavy periods, very easy weight gain/overweight, can't lose weight with calorie restriction/exercise. I also have signs of excess estrogen (weight gain in "feminine" areas, ie breasts, rear). I'm getting to the end of my rope! I'm on Metformin for the PCOS which helps some for the PCOS symptoms but still no weight loss. Zyrtec for allergies, Asmanex (steroid) for asthma. I am on a gluten-free, low-glycemic, high protein diet and I cook only with coconut oil and real butter. I'm considering doing the GAPS diet. I take naturally-sourced D3 6000-8000 IU daily plus sun exposure, K2, Fish Oil, probiotic, epsom salt baths for magnesium, cinnamon and holy basil for blood sugar. Primarily I'm concerned with weight loss, as I feel the extra weight is making all my conditions worse. Any suggestions would be great! I want to get off all these meds and do things the natural way. Conventional doctors are not helping enough! They only want to put you on diet pills and send you to Weight Watchers for weight loss. I need a good naturopathic doctor in the Cincinnati/Dayton Ohio region. Thank you everyone!!

For weight loss- 2 teaspoon of ACV in a glass of water when you get up and with every meal. Lemon juice in water too. Get some good bacteria inside your stomach- go to the health store for these capsules ( in fridge). Eat more green salads with fish.

You probably need to take iodine - and follow Bill's candida advice too.

Sophie, the high-protein part might not be ideal for your particular situation. You might want to test that by going on a just-fruit-and-vegetable (more veggies than fruit) diet for a day or two and see if it makes a difference. If yes, you can go back to protein in smaller quantities. Always "listen to your body".

Hello. I would like to offer you some great help. You need to take Iodoral - high iodine supplement. That is the only way to get rid of your PCOS and hair growth. I would suggest you go for 50mg of IODINE per day starting TODAY.

You should also get tabs called 'Thyroid Energy. ' Look into amazon.

Start drinking organic apple cider vinegar each day in a glass of warm water. Again for PCOS weight loss.

Selenium 200mcg is proven to get rid of the cysts. So get a YEAST-FREE brand of selenium.

For excess estrogen - start with DIM plus.

Also at night before bed take liver detox and Milk Thistle tablets. This will help ur liver get clean and get rid of excess estrogen thus promoting clean body and hormonal balance. I take 3 Milk Thistle tablets at night.

You need to stop ALL meat, dairy, soy, wheat, corn, sugar, eggs, peanuts FOREVER. Only beans, nuts, veggies, fruits, juicing, water allowed. Start all these supplements today and this is long term treatment before you see results. But its better then drugs!! Good luck.

I also have pcos & endometriosis along with several autoimmune disorders (I think the pcos and endo might be autoimmune related as well... ). What has helped me tremendously was switching over to a paleo diet almost a year ago. Talk about a night and day difference!! Before that, I was gluten free for a couple of years. Anyhow, I researched the GAPS diet, too, but decided to try Paleo first since it was less labor intensive (which when you're feeling quite sick is a big factor! ). I am doing SO much better and have lost 25 pounds easily. It's easy to eat this way - I'm not hungry - and I feel really great. I know many people who have alleviated the symtoms of autoimmune and/or hormonal issues when allopathic doctors were not able to help. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Hi get some blood tests done, specifically the "MN blood group" to see if you are "MM". If so, reduce Dairy. Good luck
