Spider Bite Not Healing, Getting Bigger - Need Help Please

Posted By Greta F. (Kamloops, BC Canada) on 02/14/2022

Hi! My grandson got a spider bite on his knee and it is slow in healing. He has kept a bandaid on which has kept it moist, consequently lost more skin. Does anyone have suggestions what to apply to the area to assist healing? It is larger than a toonie now.

Greta, applying wet clay or activated charcoal should heal it pretty quickly.

I would put Activated Charcoal or Bentonite Clay.

1 make a 1/4 spoon with 1/4 spoon of Coconut oil for either ingredient.

Both will draw the poison out. Change every 2 days.

Dear Greta,

I agree with mmsg and Gary regarding charcoal and clay.

I am writing because I am wondering how old your grandson is. I am also a little concerned about the increase in size of the tissue damage - it sounds awfully big for a spider bite and the losing of skin makes me concerned that it is a brown recluse bite. Do you have those in BC?

Epsom salt baths would be easy to add to your treatment.

2 cups of Epsom salt in a warm bath for 20 minutes, even several times a day.

Things to be concerned about would be fever, increased pain, or red streaks coming from the bite.

Here are some more remedies that I once used for a 5 year old with a brown recluse bite.

Keep us posted!
