Spicy food increases stomach inflammation for 3 years

Posted By Hpylori (India) on 07/19/2014

For last 3-4 years I am suffering from stomach inflammation on upper abdomen and lower end ribs on either side. Empty stomach enhances inflammation, sometimes full stomach- until passing of stools persists the inflammation. Drinking of coffee results in inflammation. I was on 4 weeks course on omeprazole, after a pantoprazole course for 4 weeks, now I am on rebeprazole for last 4 weeks and advised to continue for another two weeks.

Now please advise me, the said stomach inflammation is immediately felt when I take food with prepared ginger and cinnamon spices, when stomach is becoming empty. Whenever I take a cup of coffee even during the course of rebeprazole which is an effective drug to eradicate H. pylori. I do not know whether I am wrong that ginger and cinnamon is not effective on my H. pylori, please correct me.

I am looking for natural method eradication of H.Pylori, please suggest me the remedies taking my history and medication. Further I take less salt to control blood pressure (However BP is normal) and I have no other symptoms. Rice with butter alone finds soothing and comfortable to my stomach. So please also prescribe the balanced food for me.

Dear Hpylori from India,

Have you read the stories about H-pylori here at Earth Clinic? I think you will be encouraged and find many ideas to help you heal.

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/h-pylori-alternative-medicine.html

I would encourage you to eliminate coffee while you are trying to heal. It is acidic and hard on the digestive system.

Slippery Elm Bark herb is very gentle and healing to the digestive tract. You can try a couple of capsules of it a few times a day.

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil would be something to try. You could try a Tablespoon on your rice instead of butter. It is also good in oatmeal. Taking this a few times a day would be healing. You might want to start with just a teaspoon a few times a day.

If you have access to milk kefir, I would encourage that. It will help restore balance in your intestinal tract.

Activated Charcoal Powder is excellent for inflammation and infection. You could try a teaspoon in 8 ounces of water at bedtime, or anytime of day, just two hours away from other medication or supplements.

Meanwhile, you might want to consider one of the alkalizing formulas recommended on Earth Clinic. That may eliminate the need for the prescriptions.

I hope you feel much better soon. Please let us know how you are doing.

Readings from earth clinic suggest ginger and cinnamon is good for curing stomach ulcers. However to me taking food containing ginger and cinnamon spices, cause stomach inflammation and taking food immediately reduces the inflammation. May I request the detailed analysis from earthclinic about the ginger and cinnamon effect.

Hi Hpylori,

The symptoms you have written can be due to many other things, because Hpylori is practically found in majority of Indians and it remains dormant and may not trouble for life time. But it does not mean that it may not be active in your case. The inflammation in the stomach you write, could be bloating you feel after having food. You say ginger does not suit you, it is actually good for digestion. Be a little more observant and don't be tense, this time will also pass and you will be alright.Mama to many has advised about alkalizing the system with lemon and sodium bi carbonate, should give relief.

Good Luck
