Sodium molybdenus for food and chemical sensitivities

Posted By Debby (Sydney, AU) on 04/06/2014

Hi Bill,

Wanting your advise for multiple food and chemical sensitivities.

Firstly, I want to take sodium molybdenum as I believe this really helps especially if you are deficient of this mineral. Can I take this mineral for an ongoing period of time and how much can I take? Also are there any side effects that you know of?

Secondly, do you think 1/4 tspn of citric acid and 1/4 tspn bicarb soda would be better than ACV + bicarb for my sensitivities?

Thirdly, I am losing my hair and was wondering what copper supplement I should take and how much of it.

I know you have helped a lot of people Bill and would be very grateful for your expert advice on the above and for any other additional supplements you think might help me.

Thanking you in advance. Regards Debby :)

Hi Debby...Ted from Bangkok usually advises taking 10 mgs to 25 mgs of sodium molybdate daily for two weeks only and with a weeks rest after the two weeks. But Sodium Molybdate is difficult to source. So I would simply advise taking the molybdenum from health stores at the maximum RDA dosage of 900 mcgs three times a day, every day. Although molybdenum or sodium molybdate has the same low toxicity level as ordinary table salt, molybdenum does tend to deplete copper from the body. Molybdenum removes poisons like aldehydes and alcohols from the body. Taking a copper supplement also tends to deplete zinc which is essential for the immune system. So if you take copper supplements, you should also take zinc at different times as well.

If your food and chemical sensitivity problems suddenly appeared for no apparent reason over a period of time (as opposed to being a life long problem) then something must have caused these problems. Generally, candida and/or mycoplasma in the intestines are destructive and are easily capable of creating small holes in the intestines which allows undigested proteins into the blood. These undigested proteins are then marked as the enemy by your immune system and allergies and sensitivities arise. My advice would be to avoid wheat, dairy, yeast products, drugs and to avoid all processed food in general.

The other problem that you might have is low thyroid. This is well known as a cause for hair falling out which is a hypothyroid symptom. You can take either a strong liquid kelp extract or lugol's iodine supplement every day to bring your thyroid back up to normal operation(and healthy hair). See this article on the guidelines and extra nutrients you will need to supplement higher dose lugol's iodine.

To help heal your intestines and thyroid gland here is a simple drink that you can take twice a day. This drink will help to heal, detox and alkalize your intestines as well as help to heal your thyroid. In a glass of water, add the following:

1/2 to 1 level tspn of MSM (Methyl-sulfonyl-methane) powder. Repairs, detoxes the intestines and stops allergies.

One tablespoon ACV

One tablespoon of lemon/lime juice

1./4 teaspoon Ascorbic acid powder(Vitamin C)

Add 6 drops of lugol's iodine or use a strong liquid kelp extract (as recommended on the bottle). This will help to heal your low thyroid and hair problems.

Add Sodium Bicarbonate(Baking Soda -- Arm & Hammer brand is OK to use) until the fizzing stops.

(Optional) Add half a tablespoon of psyllium husks -- helps to absorb poisons and mechanically cleans the intestinal walls as well.

Take the above drink remedy twice a day -- outside mealtimes.

You can buy most of the powders recommended above from purebulk.com.

I would also advise that you take the Borax Water remedy that Ted advises(unscented 20 Mule Team Borax is fine to use). This remedy will act to kill fungus and mycoplasma in your intestines that may be the core reason for your sensitivity/allergy problems. To make it, add 1/8 tsp of Borax to one liter of water. Drink one liter of this water, on its own, throughout the day. Drink this borax water for five days and then take two days off in a continuous cycle like that.

Thank you Bill for your wonderful advice!!

About 20 years ago I got the Epstein Barr Virus, doctors said I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. No doubt I would have CANDIDA. Over time my energy levels got better, however my chemical/food sensitivities have worsened especially around menopause. So I am really excited to try this new remedy. This is keeping things very simple for me which is just what I need... just a couple of questions.

1. Because I am so chemically sensitive sometimes even supplements give me a really bad headache. Will I get any die off from this remedy and do you think I will be able to cope with 6 drops of luguls in one drink?

2. Secondly, because I am taking the sodium molybdate should I take a copper supplement and if so what one do you recommend? Or do you think 2 weeks would not be long enough to deplete the copper.

Thanking you in advance Bill. Regards, Debby

Hi Debby...In answer to your questions:

1. Because I am so chemically sensitive sometimes even supplements give me a really bad headache. Will I get any die off from this remedy and do you think I will be able to cope with 6 drops of luguls in one drink?

I would test all the supplements that you suspect might cause sensitivities individually on your skin first to see if you are allergic/sensitive. Also, particularly for Lugol's Iodine, work up to the full daily dosage(6 drops drops twice a day) using smaller drop dosages initially in case there are any Herx or Detox effects. If this occurs then adjust the dosage lower to suit your needs accordingly.

2. Secondly, because I am taking the sodium molybdate should I take a copper supplement and if so what one do you recommend? Or do you think 2 weeks would not be long enough to deplete the copper.

Generally, candida welcomes excess copper into the body. Excess copper makes candida more virulent and copper is also incorporated into their biofims. So don't worry about the copper, worry about the candida instead. Taking molybdenum will also act to neutralize and reduce the waste toxins in your body from candida, thus reducing the Herx reaction. Molybdenum also kills candida as well. That's why I would avoid taking copper supplements altogether if you have candida. And, as I've already said, taking lugol's iodine(plus all the companion nutrients) will improve your low thyroid problem. Iodine is also essential for healthy nails, skin and hair. The MSM in the drink will also provide sulfur which is also essential for healthy skin, nails and hair.

Another idea for you -- if you suspect mineral imbalance then just get a hair analysis done(quite cheap). This will not only tell what minerals you are lacking but will also tell you what heavy metals you have in excess in your body as well. Armed with this knowledge you should be able to use a more focused protocol to achieve health and balance.

Thank you so much Bill. You have really helped me with my queries, especially about the copper. Good advice on the lugols Iodine, I will start slow to be on the safe side.

Just one question, how long should I continue to take this remedy for??

I know you are the candida king, Bill, therefore, am so grateful for your help. I will start the drink tomorrow. Again, thank you for sharing your knowledge and time. :)
