Question About Ted's Sodium Molybdate Amount for Detoxing Mold

Posted By Mary Lou (KY) on 05/26/2025

I’ve been a member of EarthClinic for decades and have used many of the Remedies posted. Thank you for all you do.

Can you help me with this question?

After 38 years, I discovered that there was mold under the carpet and behind the walls in my basement. Mold remediation was done this month (May, 2025). Now I am working on my health issues resulting from mold.

I started with Hydrogen Peroxide inhaling per Bill Monro as well as drinking and nebulizing H2O2 per “One Minute Cure” book. Last week I took my first IV Ozone treatment.

I am eager to start the sodium molybdate, baking soda remedy from Ted.

However, I cannot find sodium molybdate anywhere close to 25mg. The sodium molybdate I’ve found come in MCG not MG. RDA for Molybdenum is given as 45 mcg.

On this page Ted replies to “S” https://ted.earthclinic.com/cures/mold6.html

Excerpts from Ted’s post Mold and Fungus in the Body Posted by S on 04/10/2008

If a person happens to reside in a moldy house for a long length of time, certain toxins in the fungus becomes cancerous. One of those toxins that accumulates in the body is called acetaldehyde, and is made much worse with aspartame products…

The reason why molybdenum works is because it detoxifies fungus toxins, acetaldehyde by converting into acetic acid. Acetaldehyde, along with other aldehyde perfumes, found in detergents, and disinfectants tend to accumulate in our body over the lifetime and the body has no means of getting rid of it.

So, the remedy I have used to reverse this condition was 25 mg of sodium molybdate, taken for about a week or two, along with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water twice a day, plus occasional 1/8 teaspoon of borax in one liter of drinking water.

Ted, can I just check that's 25mg of sodium molybdate, not 2.5mg? Over on the Linus Pauling site they state that about 1.5 is fine, but the sorts of doses you're describing might be toxic:

Thoughts? Cheers, Kate

I’ve searched for where Ted responds to Kate and can’t find a response.

Can you confirm the correct quantity of sodium molybdate?

And if 25mg is correct, could you suggest where to get it?

Thank you again for all you do,

Mary Lou Ballard
