Side Effects 7 Years After Getting Food Poisoning

Posted By Gin (Nc) on 12/09/2015

7 Years ago I was 45 and had ONE bite from a taco salad at Taco Bell.. That's all it took and I was vomiting and pooping for days. The pressure of all the vomiting and cleaning out my gut, literally brought on a mini stroke. This is totally gross and maybe too much info, but on the 2nd day I started bleeding in the poo, and did so for about 5 days. Neurologist and Dr. confirmed it very bad case of food poison (obviously) but also said they thought it was toxin related, as in some sort of poisonous cleaning solution got into the food when it was made. It literally took me 5 minutes to get sick after the first bite. Now 7 years later I have begun having horrible attacks that seem like food poison, but can't relate it back to anything because it keeps coming and going. Sometimes a certain smell will set it off. It's awful. It's not crohns, maybe some sort of IBS, I don't know, but Dr says no. Anyway, it is a nightmare going through it with the pain and not knowing when it will end. Feel bad for anyone who has it. If you ever have so much pressure in pushing, either vomiting or the other - go to the Dr.... don't wait and have a mini stroke like I did. That was stupid... now every time I have a headache, I think, is this the big one coming? Good luck! :)
