I Quit Alcohol Cold Turkey - Are My Symptoms Herxheimer Reaction?

Posted By Everson11 (Mt) on 12/11/2015

Hi,

I have a question about after quitting drinking... I quit cold turkey 11 days ago and have massive neck pain and am dizzy at times...

I was thinking it was a Herxheimer reaction, but now wonder if I'm just doing something wrong with drinking too much ACV or something...

I have been eating good, as in no processed or fast foods since quitting, take a multi vitamin by pure encapsulations, and drink plenty of water... I do take a tincture that is called lung renewal by Enerhealth Botanicals that has an alcohol base, but that is a very small amount

I have quit cold turkey before a few times with no problems at all, literally no reason to ask before... Any ideas / remedies???

Thanks.

For those who are struggling with alcohol dependence, the #1 treatment in Finland is the Sinclair Method, using Naltrexone, an FDA approved drug at 50mg., that stops the endorphins experienced by alcohol consumption, reducing the desire for alcohol. Naltrexone is an inexpensive pill that is taken before drinking is anticipated.

Here is some additional information.

My guess would be your still going through withdrawals as well as food withdrawals , I went through soda withdrawals for a good month, and processed foods can do the same thing, I would keep an eye on your blood sugar levels just to be on the safe side especially if you were drinking soda and quit cold turkey as well, and I give you a big thumbs up for changing your lifestyle and taking a lung vitamin its a major step .. keep up the good work :)
