Should BHT Be Taken With or Without Fat for Viral Hepatitis?

Posted By Da (Fl) on 09/29/2017

Dear Oscar,

I like your passion on helping others with need of medical attention. But there's one thing that puts me at loss is ... that I don't see ANYWHERE, but by you, that supports the claim that BHT is best taken without fat/oil and on an empty stomach. Everywhere I look, BHT is listed as fat-soluble. On the empty stomach, I'm sure BHT results can be good, but when a nutrient is FAT-SOLUBLE, then results should be much more positive when taken with fatty food. I've read from multiple sites where DOCTORS advise this for patients at 1000-2000 mg daily amount for initial herpes outbreaks for example. 250-500 mg daily requirement for reoccuring outbreaks. I don't have the links to reference, but this can be easily googled up.

I just can't see why you would suggest on an empty stomach without the use of fat/oil when BHT is CLEARLY fat-soluable. I'm not saying that your method didn't work for you and others here on EC, but research and medical doctors that use this method with positive results.

I pray that I'm really wrong, because I know of someone dear to me that needs the help and want her to be cured. She's really bad and will be starting a pharm treatment thankfully.

I just need to see the light. And I apologize ahead of time if you already discussed this where I've over-looked.

Thanks a million, Oscar.

Dear OSCAR - PART 2,

Also, one more thing ... I see that you have a list of what to AVOID when taking BHT as treatment to lipid-membraned viruses (hepa, herp, HIV, etc), and you mentioned to AVOID any additional herbs, extracts, high-dose vit/min pills, etc.

Would taking LECITHIN powder (I prefer non-GMO Sunflower) with the BHT regimen be bad? Ted has put LECITHIN on a high pedestal of value for curing liver cirrhosis. It seems to be his #1 supplement for the liver.

I know we are talking here about eradicating the viruses, but what about healing the liver too in the process? Can one do both in the process more effectively by adding LECITHIN to the BHT regimen? Could you consult directly with Ted on this?

It seems BHT and LECITHIN are both key. I don't want to put one's liver on the back-burner until the supposed infection(s) are gone. That will takes months. I've researched BHT interactions and Lecithin interactions a lot and don't see any indication where the two might impede efficacy of each other.

Again, thank you for all your hard work, Oscar.

Hello,

I do have ONE last concern, and I'll stop bugging you. :)

I see on various posts where it looks as if you are contradicting your ideas, OR that the old idea/theories are outdated and need to be overlooked. You mention to people that if you take BHT then continue your medical doctor's prescribed HEP C treatment. But then I would read you saying to ONLY take BHT AFTER medical doctor's prescribed treatment. Which is it?

If Oscar or others can explain this to clear up my confusion then don't hesitate to chime-in.

EC: Dear Da,

As you might have read by now in another post, our wonderful contributor Oscar has been struggling for a long time with an old gunshot wound to the abdomen from the Vietnam War and rarely posting on Earth Clinic except perhaps once a year. Ted similarly is unable to answer questions since his stroke in 2015. Perhaps another contributor is familiar with the BHT protocol and can answer your questions.
