What Remedies Can Help Shakes From Not Drinking Alcohol?

Posted By Aaron (Montana) on 12/28/2015

Hi,

I have been a drinker for many years, but mostly just beer... Lets say 99% versus 1% Liquor and wine combined

I drank more liquor than ever on the holiday break, and now I have the shakes and panic attacks... Self medicating with beer kills off my problems, but I have never had those problems, so I want to eradicate them

I take high dose vitamins now, but am looking for other remedies... I know I have candida also, but haven't started any diet for that yet...

Thanks for any help

A: "Strong drink" is way too toxic for an aging body. Beer & wine in moderation is the formula for using alcohol.

OK, with the generalities over, 3 items of most importance for alcohol detox is:

1. Zinc (take away from high fiber foods)

2. Niacin and/or Niacinamide and/or NADH (Coenzyme-1)

3. Milk Thistle/Turmeric/Artichoke herbal combination.

Back to generalities. After having only minutes ago read of someone experiencing toxicity from B vitamins, it is important to note that B- vitamins need Minerals as cofactors in coenzyme & enzyme production. For alcohol detox in specific, Zinc combines w/ Niacin which fuels the production of the enzyme Alcohol Dehydrogenase which is critical for the detoxification of alcohol in the body. Also critical is the mineral Molybdenum & Niacin for the detoxification of toxic byproducts of fungal infections as well as alcohol itself ---Aldehyde. So, folks using alcohol and have a fungal infection are going to experience some very bad side effects from the aldehyde toxicity.

So, two more items on the list are:

4. Molybdenum

5. High quality health food store brand Multivitamin/Mineral supplement 2x daily with meals.

Lastly, it is reported that chronic alcohol use depletes Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's) leaving one vulnerable to all manner of degenerative diseases. So, one more item on the list is:

6. Consume cold water fish like Salmon, Mackerel, and Sardines or take Fish or Krill Oil supplement, and Flax Seed Oil.

Timh,

I have read about vit b being toxic. Could you please explain how to take the complex vit b.

I take a liquid, but I did ask the company about the toxic issues and have not heard back.

Thank you

Thanks, Timh... My vitamin is 100% Zinc and Niacin, and 400% B12, the good form of Methylcobalamin...

I do have fish oil, but it's a brand with Magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide, so I want to get a good version with no additives...

I drink Milk thistle often as a tincture, and have done research in natural remedies for 10 years, but have yet to figure out if there is so much as too much probiotics... As in, can I take 10 doses of a 15 strain / 35 Billion and Sauerkraut or Kimchi or Kombucha, or is it needless to do so???

Hi Mary,

From a former Silverdale resident, I wish I was back there in the Fairgrounds / Bucklin Hill area or even Wildcat Lake!!!

I heard for years that the B12 version of Cyanocobalamin was cyanide (The cyan, the front molecule) of the safe cobalamin...

I have also heard that is hogwash, depending on who you talk to... I do know the good supplements use Methylcobalamin and the very rare Hydroxycobalamin...

I have avoided vitamins with 13,333% or whatever of Cyan just because of that, but with high doses of Methyl, I didn't see any problems...

M: B-Vitamins are not considered toxic substances and taking too much would result in most of them going down the drain.

Maybe you have absorption issues or infection in your gut and the B's are not getting into the bloodstream correctly. Maybe you need to not supplement a B-Complex unless it also has Minerals. A high quality Multivitamin/Mineral is way better than on B's.

Also, the best form of B's is the Coenzymated.

As for the liquid B you have, try adding some drops of Ionic Trace Minerals for maximum effect.

E: Firstly, what brand of Multi are you taking? as there is a big swing in regards to quality with so many brands. Typically it is not advised to take a Multi manufactured and distributed by a pharma company. On-the-other-hand, there are many very good health-food store brands as your best choice.

As for the probiotics, I have always considered using probiotics exclusively for gut health as a self-limiting approach. The secret to maintaining healthy flora is to almost totally eradicate any infection w/ natural herbs like Garic, Oregano, Oregon Grape, Grapefruitseed, as well as a once a yr Black Walnut Complex for the parasites. Also to help the body produce probiotics is to be sure to take a pre-probiotic like Inulin found in herbs like Artichoke and Yucca, FOS. Be sure your brand contains FOS.

Also the colon always needs a little help keeping clean so take 1 spoon of Milled Flax Seed 2-3 x per wk and Aloe Vera maybe 1x wk.

It is critical that you have zero Aldehyde in the liver & gut as A is very toxic, destroying nutrition easily and causing acidosis. So alkalizing remedies are also needed for gut health as acidosis destroy nutrition including probiotics.

So yes, it's all about maintaining the healthy flora. Krout & Kefir regularly will minimize the need for supplemental probiotics. 20 billion from as many strains as possible upon waking daily is a recommended dose.

Tim... I have 3 brands... Pure Encapusulations Nutrient 950 with Vitamin K, Jarrow B-Right, and Garden of Life Raw One...

I have noticed in the past success with just sauerkraut and a dose of probiotics, but my gut is enraged now... Quitting the alcohol will of course help, and then I will dig into seriously cleaning the gut, as I have a hiatial hernia and who knows what else...

Thanks for the tips

By the way, Cayenne took care of the anxiety and shakes quick... I wrote that part on the Cayenne Multiple cures forum...
