Hi all-
I have been struggling with vaginal infections on and off for years now, but only recently have been unable to get rid of BV. My doctor recommended today that I try boric acid as a more long-term therapy. From reading your posts, I am encouraged to try it. She recommended that I try taking oral antibiotics, and then using the boric acid tablets for 21 days, and then use the gel as a preventative measure twice a week for 6 months. I'm wondering (and this might be a totally stupid question), but can I have sex with my boyfriend while I'm using the boric acid tablets? Or does that compromise the benefits? Also, I think that my doctor might have mentioned that I shouldn't drink beer while I'm taking boric acid. Is this true? Any info that you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
