In Serious Pain from Abscessed ToothPosted By Mike (Lubbock,Texas) on 10/18/2015
By Friday after noon pain had increased. I went to dentist, I had no swelling at this time. Dentist said I had abscessed tooth and prescribed amoxicillin. Dentist didn't say anything about my home filling job, didn't remove it, but obviously noticed it. He said I should feel better in 24 hours. In 24 hours - Saturday evening the pain was just as intense and swelling had started. Now Sunday evening. I'm still taking amoxicillin but now my gums are swollen and face is swollen. Is this supposed to be happening?

I've followed some of your plight and was amazed that garlic didn't work for you. I haven't had an infection yet that garlic didn't cure.
Did you use it often? And did you take it internally as well? Whenever I had issues, I would take a slice of garlic and maneuver it all around the gums of the bad tooth for about 10 min's at a time...repeating every hour or so.
I would also cut up a big clove or 2 small ones into tiny pieces, load the pieces onto a spoon and wash it down with a few chugs of water. I did this at least 3x/day.
Between the garlic slice 'massages' and the garlic internally, even the worst infection I ever had was gone in a couple of days, as was the pain.
Hope you feel better soon. Tooth pain is no joke.

Please seek immediate medical attention by calling 911 if you have a high temperature; have difficulty opening your mouth, swallowing or breathing; have swelling on the bottom of your mouth, face or jaw; have severe pain that doesn't get better with painkillers; or have a spreading infection (red line moving down your neck, for example).
