Seeking remedies for secondary progressive spinal cord lesions

Secondary Progressive:

Hello, I am reaching out to see what supplements and/or natural remedies have been most helpful to serious cases of MS. I have a lot of spinal cord lesions and am trying to find out if the spine can heal itself. I am suffering greatly. Any insight would be so greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Maia Marie

Hi Maia Marie,

I am sorry to hear about the MS. To stop the progression of MS, please look into low dose naltrexone (LDN) at www.ldninfo.org. It is about 85% effective in stopping progression of MS. It is a safe, no side effects, inexpensive FDA approved drug at 50mg/ day, but has been found to modulate the immume system when taken in low doses of 1.5-4.5mg/day. Many have found the best dose for MS to be 3 mg, which halts progression but does not cause muscle spasms. On the LDN site mentioned above, you will see a Yahoo LDN Group referenced. Please join and ask the more than 12,000 members any questions you may have. Over half take LDN for MS, some for over a decade. You can buy your own if you cannot get a prescription, and you can get further info on that. This is the most important step in halting progression.

In addition to LDN, which can be taken with any other drug EXCEPT opiate based drugs, some have found Lion's Mane mushroon powder, injested, to help heal myalin sheath damage. It is also non-toxic. Both LDN and Lion's Mane could be taken at the same time. I have talked to two people who have had very good success with Lion's Mane for their MS. Best wishes for healing.

Dear Maia Marie, I am so sorry to hear about your lesions. Terry Wahls is a physician here in Iowa who is conducting research on diet and MS. You might want to Google her or look into her books on Amazon and scan through the reviews by MS patients who have been using her diet with great results. Dr. Wahls was in a tilt-recline wheelchair when she drastically changed her diet and her health. Her story is compelling and true. May God give you healing.
