Seeking cure for intractable hiccups and the vagus nerve

Posted By Purplebutterfly (Usa) on 06/01/2015

Hello all,

I'm writing because I've been looking for a long time for a cure for Intractable Hiccups / Vagus Nerve. It's been quite a number of years. Is anyone here familiar with this? Is there anyone here who've experienced this...especially at bed-time? It's not the same as regular hiccups.

Let's correspond here together. Thank you.

Hello Purple butterfly,

Re your vegas nerve issue...

Google "Vegas nerve infection hypothesis" and see "The Big Theory" by Cort Johnson. The Herpes viruses are being implicated for such damage to the Vegas and also implicated in Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia.

I continue to "beat the drum" on the existence of underlying virus issues to so many problems that plague modern society. With a weakened immune system so common in Western society given our depleted soils, rampant virus issues are with us.

My "go to" in attacking such viruses is colloidal silver. The inhalation method is preferable here. I'd use a steam/inhaler. Multiple times weekly for three or four minutes with each use. I'd try it for a month at least to see if any improvement occurs.

Please note, many good ideas might be put forward to help with the symptoms...but I keep preaching .... get to the underlying cause. Only then in SO many cases can real relief be found. Otherwise we are doing what the standard procedure is: treat the symptom.

Also if you Google, "Vegas nerve damage virus" you will find other articles on the virus link.

To Purple Butterfly - has your husband been tested for Coeliac Disease? Before this was diagnosed, my husband too was afflicted by continuous hiccups.

You could try Rolaids. It was the only thing that I've ever tried that would stop hiccups. Not forever, but long enough to get some relief and drink down some water.

If it works, even for only a short time, I would suggest that he's dehydrated.

There is a recipe and instructions for a sort of "emergency" re-hydration solution at http://rehydrate.org/solutions/homemade.htm#recipe

Dehydration is basically an epidemic, in the modern world, and the list of illnesses to which it is connected is so large that the extent of its effects is unknown.

One interesting note: NO medical testing has ever been done that has taken an individual's state of hydration into account. And with what is believed to be around 70% of the world's population suffering from chronic dehydration to one extent or another, that would mean that every single medical test that has ever been done is 100% inaccurate.

Dear Purple Butterfly:

My father has been suffering from intractable hiccups for more than four years now. I saw your posting and wanted to connect, especially if you've had any success finding a cure. We've done many tests--even surgery. Trying not to give up hope. :)
