Seborrheic Dermatitis on Scalp - Can Borax Help?

Posted By TedS (Westland, Netherlands) on 10/02/2025

My question: I have seborroic eczema on mij head. All meds by dermatologist are worsening it. Can I apply borax or any suggestion for treatment?

Thanks!

Hi TedS,

A friend was able to use melatonin lotion successfully for scalp eczema. Here is what they said :

' My scalp eczema usually flares up in January and February. I put the melatonin lotion on it...guess what? All gone and no roughness or itchiness...yay! '

Here is how to make melatonin lotion :

Ted, have you tried high dose biotin?

By high dose, I mean 40-50 mg (not mcg! ) per day for three months. Completely safe, biotin is one of those things you can never overdose on, they even give 200 mg to babies. Good luck!
