Right upper eyelid have sty

Posted By Tristan (Alta, Wyoming) on 02/21/2011

I have had an internal sty - right upper eyelid - for 12 days now. It has improved from being sore and inflamed and large, to a smaller nodular lump. I tried all the remedies, and the one that seemed to work best was massaging it with castor oil, and warm compresses. However it is still there.

The reason for my concern is that it has blurred the vision in my right eye a bit so that everything is a little out of focus. Since I am a writer, this is very distressing. I would appreciate any help from anyone very much!

Thanks, Tristan

I had sties from chemo and my Dr. Told me to take 100, 000 IU of Vitamin A for 3 days. On the fourth day they went away.

I had a few styes recently. They got big and painful. What I eventually found to work was a 50/50 spray of lavender oil/water and rubbing a gold chain on the area. Two of them opened up and gooed a bit, just catch all of goo on a tissue and spray more lavender to prevent spread of infection! Good luck

I've never had a full-blown sty and it could possibly be because every time I've felt something coming around my eye, I've rubbed gold on it. I was a teenager when a friend had styes that looked so painful, and mom told us to rub gold on the sty to get rid of it. It's been 30 years and I've never had one develop... Coincidence or cure?!?
