What Natural Remedies Can I Take For Liver Cyst?

Posted By Cristiana (Kitchener, Ontario Canada) on 10/10/2016

I was told that I have a cyst in my liver. I was also told that I will need a biopsy. I started taking Milk Thistle 1 pill 3x a day. My sister-in-law said for me to take "asiak"? Sorry I don't know if I spelled it right. At any rate, I am scared out of my mind about having this biopsy. I was wondering if you could kindly give me your opinion about this. Should I take the natural stuff or is there something else you recommend? I'm thinking of waiting a couple more months then ask for another CT scan?
EC: Sounds like your sister recommended Essiac Tea...

For most chronic conditions natural remedies usually prove way more effective with less bad side effects and less cost, so it's good to do your research, make a plan, and be diligent on the treatment; you're already on the right path.

As for the biopsy, this is likely for cancer testing, and I have heard someone say he had liver pain for yrs after having a biopsy, so non-invasive diagnostics would be best.

The Essiac Tea is a good herbal whole body purifier and has been used often with good success to rid the body of tumors & cancers. The Milk Thistle is a potent antioxidant specifically for the liver but works best with two other herbs --Turmeric and Artichoke and maybe also Dandelion; so look for a product labeled "Milk Thistle Combination". Do this herbal for one wk then rotate to the Essiac for one wk, and also read up on Gallstones here on E.C. under "ailments" at top page, as you are likely candidate for them.

Christiana,

Dr. Burt Berkson, an expert on liver diseases, recommends the milk thistle that you are already taking, along with 300-600mg/day, (start low at first) alpha lipoic acid and 200 mg. selenium. He is on many online sites, and you can hear his advice yourself, but these are the three supplements he always recommends. In his practice in Las Cruces, NM, he uses ALA in IV form, but at home just use the capsules, and try to buy the r-alpha lipoic acid form. I like Life Extension phospholipid form of r-ALA. Best wishes for healing.
