I tested negative for EOE myself (as well as many other conditions), and I'm still struggling with inflammation of the esophagus. For me, having my esophagus stretched (a couple times now) was a life saver. So, I don't have any really practical solutions to offer, but I offer you my sympathy. I hate to think of such a young child dealing with this scary issue.

To get him on the right track and stop the pain, start with a meat, a fruit and a veggie. Nothing else for 2-3 weeks NO grains and nothing that isn't organic. Just those 3 foods ( no spices ie salt and pepper till you blood tests come back-we found out that my son was super sensitive to black pepper) Once he starts to feel better you add in 1 new food per week or two.
