Questions about chanca piedra for gallstones

Posted By Veronica (Phoenix, Arizona) on 03/13/2015

Hello Bill,

I have recently been diagnosed with GallStones on the 10th, and I was told that my Liver, Kidney, and Pancreas look great, The Gallbladder is not infected nor swollen but it does have stones. I asked a few friends and one told me of Chanca Piedra Stone Breaker (Brand: Herb Pharm- 1Fluid ounce (29.6ml)), I will be honest I want to try this product over the weekend, only that I am unsure what side effects I will have and if this will help me or not, the bottle does not have much instructions as of how I can drink it other than 40 drops in 8oz water/juice cup. Ever since the 10th I have not been eating Fatty foods and I have been on vegetables and fruit, I have to admit I am not one who drinks plenty of water I would like to know if I can drink mostly juice when drinking the Chanca Piedra drops? And what foods will help, or not help to make it more effective or what will contradict with the medicine? What is the possibilities for a stone to be stuck in ducts? And will I eventually need surgery? After I take the drops what do I need to do to keep clean?

Thanks for your attention.

Hi Veronica...I think you have very little to worry about when you supplement Chanca piedra. There are no known side-effects with this herb. Chanca piedra acts to quickly dissolve gallstones and kidney stones -- so eventually these stones will be a safer smaller size for quick natural riddance via the excretory pathways.

You should also be aware that Chanca piedra(CP) lowers blood pressure, lowers blood sugar, lowers blood fat and is a calcium channel blocker. So if you are taking meds that act the same as CP then this would be contra-indicated. See all the properties of CP here.

What might also help you is if you take a teaspoon of granulated lecithin(not the oil form) at mealtimes twice a day. This will help the liver and the gallbladder. I would also try and reduce dairy in your diet because stones can arise from excess calcium intake in the diet. Taking magnesium citrate (250 mgs twice a day) will also help to better regulate calcium to healthier levels in your body.

I take the tea and decoction forms of the CP herb regularly and take it with some fresh juice. Been doing this for the last 9 years. I'm 65 and have never had a problem with CP. In fact, anyone that I have ever advised CP for stones has also never had any problems with CP either.

Please don't let your unfounded fears about CP deflect you from easily curing your own gallstone problem. CP is not called Break-Stone for no reason. Just make up your mind to take the CP extract as advised on the bottle and in probably less than a week the gallstones will start appearing in your toilet.

Bill, you are so right about the chanca piedra. When I read what you wrote about it here a long time ago, I got the tea and was drinking three cups a day.. I was also drinking Apple Cider Vinegar with apple juice and lemons .. well in about a week or two yes the stones were expelling .. All kinds of stones.. I believe I must have a lot as I still have pain so going to keep doing this.. I didn't know CP was good for bp so that is a double benefit for me as I have high bp also............except I do take supplements and things for that..

I was really happy and surprised that the stone breaker tea worked really well.. seeing the stones was kind of fascinating .. thank you so much.
