Question about diatomaceous earth for eczema

Posted By Tananana (Lubbock, Texas) on 05/16/2015

My daughter's eczema is out of control. We are not giving her any more of the high powered cortisones and other drugs prescribed. It isn't helping and probably doing more damage. She is 4 years old and we have recently started making our own hard lotion bars with raw organic shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil, vitamin E, and Young Living Essential oils. I have recently bought some food grade diatomaceous earth but am not sure how to use it for her skin. Is it something she HAS to ingest, or is there a topical use that would help her eczema. So far the grittiness of it is bothering her to ingest it. We are waiting for a new batch of Kefir to try it in a smoothie. Would love to know if/how to use it topically.

I am a big fan of food grade diatomaceous earth (DE) and consume it daily for a host of reasons. If she is not able to tolerate DE orally, here is my suggestion as a topical salve.

Prior to your daughter having a bath, Mix 1 tablespoon of organic virgin coconut oil with about 1/2 tablespoon of DE. Mix well. Rub the mixture into her skin well. Whole body. Throw on her old bathrobe and let it stay on her skin for 30 minutes. When you bathe her, just rinse her off well. No soap. Do this 3 times a week.

Secondly, consider removing ALL inflammatory foods from her diet. You are a Mom - you understand what I am talking about.

I don't think people understand that our food supply is under siege. The glyphosate (herbicide) in our crops is having a devastating effect on our population. Everyone I know is chronically sick with something....be aware of the food your daughter is eating.

I wish you all the best!

MyWay,

:D
