Pre- and Post-meal Digestion Issues

Posted By Ashley (Clearwater, Fl) on 01/06/2013

Hi EC Community, I've read over a few posts regarding digestive issues but didn't find a problem that seemed similar to mine. Im 25 and recently over the past 2yrs developed significant digestive problems that I never had before. This may be long, but I want to be detailed.. Please help me, the Drs aren't ;(

Both my mom aunt have had on going digestive problems but not diagnosed and not sure if theirs are as dramatic as mine. I have always been very regular & fine until this developed approx 2 years ago. Started having trouble going to the bathroom, I was (and still am) sometimes going less or not at all for a couple days.. other days I am normal and can go frequently.

Besides that I have pre- and post- meal eating problems. I get pain that feels like hunger pangs, but without an appetite or if I do eat, it doesn't help, I become bloated/gasy. Other times I feel Normal to eat but then can get a burning sensation in the stomach or pains like "knots" in my stomach or I have to go use the bathroom immediately half through my meal.

Been to 2 specialists and they both wanted to set me up for a colonoscopy after the first visit. I'm not comfortable with that at my age. My primary Dr has been most helpful. Did labs and she found I do not have HPylori and everything (she did some extensive labs/tests) seemed normal except my lipase level. Only thing I found on that is that it's related to the pancreas I guess. That all was A yr ago.

im going to try to go gluten free, per my dr's suggestion (because I also have fatigue), and recently I got an organic mint blend tea since I heard peppermint (tea) helps digestion. 3 nights in a row I didn't really notice any change, maybe I need to drink over a longer period?

I've not been able to narrow any foods, it seems to be random and daily.

Hi Ashley, please explain in detail between your 21 and 23. What was your medicines and treatments (for any ailment) between 21 and 23. Your food habits.

Any ailments, diahrrea, stomach flu, typhoid. Excess cola intake, excess gum chewing, excess junk food, Hot dog consumption (has sodium nitrite, carcinogen and allergen), Foods with MSG, excess brushing

Try to recollect history between 21 and 23 and explain. People who are healthy till 20's 30's 40's, as a rule of thumb should healthy at all times under normal traditional lifestyle.

Any change in food habit, antibiotic intake, allergen can have a dramatic change in health even overnight. Your current condition should be because of some allergen and parasite. Perhaps you, your mom and aunt are exposed to the same and suffering the same.

Good Health.
