Perineural or Tarlov Cyst on sacrum 3

Do you know an effective remedy for these types of cysts. Surgery frightens me. I've always been a believer in castor oil packs but not sure they'll reach that area. Any suggestions are welcome because this is pressing on my sciatic nerve and pain going from buttock all the way into my feet. Thank you.

Dear Holly,

It seems like you have little to lose and much to gain by trying the castor oil packs.

I have also found that Frankincense essential oil is helpful for a variety of types of cysts. I find it gentle enough to apply neat (without diluting.) My favorite source is Hopewell oils.

You might also check Earth Clinic's sciatica page to get some ideas to help relieve the sciatica a bit. I realize you have a specific cause, but perhaps one of the remedies would help your pain while you work on reducing the cyst.

I see you posted this in 2020 so not sure where you are at with this stupid cyst. Check out a FB group for Cysters and Mysters. Lots of support and suggestions there. Good luck!

Mama to Many,

Can you please say which brands of castor oil you used that worked?

Hi there!

I just look for castor oil that is cold pressed and hexane free. I have used a few different kinds. Mountain Rose Herbs, Home Health, Heritage.

I use it for so many things I always have it on hand!
