pco feedback-dear friend trying to get pregnant. i too was diagnosed at 33 with pco and was told by my doctor who is a fertility specialist that i would have an EXTREME problem getting pregnant and that when i was ready i would most certainly require the aid of fertility drugs. i have NEVER had regular periods. (a bit of back history)i started menstration at age 10 and would have months on and months off. recently, in the past 8-10 years i would have elongated periods of 10-20 days at a time then no period for 4 months. during this conversation my doctor mentioned "in passing" that my weight might be an issue. i took the news and stopped taking birth control. a few years later i decided to get healthy. i worked out an hour a day on the treadmill, ate a lot of fruits and vegetables and lost 40 lbs. my periods were like clock work, regular, lite. i know for the first time in my life i had restored my hormonal balance. within six months of losing weight, my husband and i were pregnant. the reason i mention it here is because EVERY woman that i have know who had fertility issues, miscarriages, etc. have all been OVER WEIGHT and the doctors sort of hint at it but put women through some horrible trials but there is something naturally that we can try. it is hard, but so much easier and better for your body than drilling holes in your ovaries. i hope this helps.
