Dear Mabaset,

I am sorry to hear of the Interstitial Lung Disease. You can go to the link here and get some ideas for some natural things to try.

When my father-in-law had this disease, he did not try any thing natural. I would like to have seen him try some of the remedies on this page.

He did get some good advice from a doctor one time. He had seen an ad in the doctor's office for a motorized chair for his home and asked the doctor about getting one. The doctor was upset that the ad was in his waiting room and said "no way" would he let him have one. He believed that continue activity, as much as able, was important.

On the link above I had suggested to another poster to try nebulizing hydrogen peroxide with a machine that people with asthma use. At the time I was suggesting 1% hydrogen peroxide. Since that time I have used a weaker solution for the nebulizer and feel that is better. We put 5 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide in the medicine cup and 35 drops of distilled water. We have found this very helpful for lung problems. A cheaper option is Bill Munroe's Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation therapy, which is discussed extensively on this site.

Let us know what you try and how you are doing.
